Playa is fun on & off the beach. Yes, Playa del Carmen is HAPPENING! This town has boomed in the last few years and is better now than it's ever been. The number and quality of businesses has increased to keep pace with its growing popularity. Location:Located in the middle of the Riviera Maya, this place is tons of fun with amazing beaches, great beach vacation accommodations and the ferry to Cozumel which runs numerous trips daily. There are taxis everywhere and a couple bus terminals for connections to Riviera Maya vacation resort towns and other parts of Mexico. Playa del Carmen is only 45 minutes from Tulum ruins, or Cancun. Its central location makes it convenient to all the sights & adventures on Mexico's tropical Caribbean coastline.
