Founded in 1640, Hacienda Santa Cruz was formerly a Franciscan Monastery, monks inhabited the ancient part of the Hacienda “la casa principal“ Later on, it functioned as an estate and with the henequen industry momentum, it changed into a Hacienda, cultivating and processing the prominent “green gold“ from Yucatan: The Henequen.

In the last decade from the XX century, the haciendas of Yucatan regained the rise and splendor of antique times, but now as hotels and luxury restaurants, places where history and tradition blends. Great for resting, but above all, to offer a unique experience to all visitors.

Hacienda Santa Cruz takes part of The National Institute of Anthropology and History catalogue and it`s also part of the cultural heritage of the Yucatan state.

The room`s section in Hacienda Santa Cruz was divided into two areas; The “Casa grande” which is the ancient part, that dates from 1640, in this section you`ll find most of our suites which were transformed in unique rooms. Each room is completely different to the other ones, giving you a unique experience that will take you back to the XVII century. The second section is brand new and is located in the main gardens of the Hacienda.

Each room is filled with a unique style and space. The rooms are decorated with regional elements such as; chukum, refined woods that give personality and preserve the Mayan charm.

All of our rooms have front views to our astounding gardens and private terraces.

The hotel has 25 spacious rooms, from 32 up to 55 square meters, great to accommodate; couples, families and even 5 guests in one room.

Each of our rooms gives high standard service for example: fine cotton bedding, spa-like bathroom amenities, fine pillows and brand new mattresses.
