Turtle Season

Our VIP guests return every year from May to November to nest on the turquoise beaches of this incredible natural reserve.
Green and loggerhead turtles are the stars of this incredible show, which is why we are proud members of the program promoted by the Akumal Ecological Center for the protection of both species.

During the nesting season it is essential that you follow these recommendations:
Turtles are timid and sensitive animals to light, so we ask you to keep the terrace lights off and with the least possible noise.

To admire this show we ask you to do it through a certified guide, the CEA offers night walks every night with specialized personnel during the nesting season; groups are limited to 10 people and will be given a red light lamp so as not to scare or disturb the turtles, indicating when and where they will be able to approach without causing harm.
